Beverly Studio Maternity Session

One of my high school besties was in town to celebrate her baby shower with family and friends, so of course I had to have her in the studio to capture some beautiful maternity portraits. I won’t have the opportunity to meet her little guy once he’s born (dang you, Colorado! Why are you so far away?) but having this time to catch up and document this exciting time for her was just as special.

Sometimes I think studio maternity portraits don’t get as much love as outdoor sessions. Sure, the beach is great, and the fall foliage is beautiful. You could even argue that snow is pretty fun (but I wouldn’t be one of those people). But the studio offers so much more. Dramatic lighting, beautiful painterly backdrops, privacy. I really wish more moms would consider this option for their sessions!
