One of the best parts of being a Middleton newborn photographer is customizing each session to match each client’s unique style. This mom wanted neutrals and pinks for her spring baby girl. During the booking process each client receives a questionnaire that asks for color preferences, favorite poses and props. I use this information to style each session a little differently. I knew from reading this client’s questionnaire that all things girly were going to be necessary! I added soft feminine touches with pearls and soft layering pieces. I also try to ensure that each setup is cohesive with one another so if clients order an album, all the images look beautiful when paired together in a multi page spread.
For the bucket shot I knew I had to add in some florals. I keep a large selection of florals on hand at the studio so we can pretend it’s spring all year long 😉 I also included one of my favorite props ever – my heart shaped bowl from The Original Photoblocks. I love how it highlights how curly babies are in those first weeks after birth. You’d be surprised how much flexibility babies lose once they start to get bigger and gain weight!
